MAKING OUR WAX MELTS:
All of our candles and wax melts are created in our home studio in Stapleford, Nottingham where they are given all the love and attention they need to meet our high standards. A sample of every batch we make is tested to make sure our quality remains 100% and nothing has altered in our production process.

Candle-making is a game of alchemy and determination. Even the slightest change in pouring temperature or dye amount can have a drastic butterfly effect. That's why months of research and countless tests and revisions go into each individual recipe until we are happy with the fragrance, burn time, and overall aesthetic.
Fire burn & cauldron bubble
Once a recipe has been perfected, it's time to begin production!
Large batches of raw wax get delivered to our studio ready for melting. It's easy to feel like a witch leaning over a cauldron with our specialist double boilers, but these beauties ensure that the wax doesn't get too hot and 'burn', which affects its chemical makeup and ability to hold fragrance oils.
Temperature is monitored carefully and constantly, so after the wax has transformed into a smooth, golden liquid, it is cooled to a specific temperature and then gently combined with the precise amount of high-quality fragrance oils and dyes as per the recipe.
Time to pour!
We slowly cool the mixture to another set temperature prior to pouring. Patience, steady hands, and a flair for creativity are definitely needed when it comes to pouring into moulds!
Many of our designs use double pours, where two different coloured mixtures are poured into the mould at the same time to create a unique marbling effect. At this stage, biodegradable glitter and dried botanicals can be added as a decorative touch.
It's a waiting game
Once the wax is poured, it needs to cool completely and set. This is a delicate process - cooling too fast or too slow can undo all the hard work that's gone into the product so far!
Once the wax has spent a few days curing and the fragrance has completely bonded to the wax, we check the batch's performance. If the batch doesn't pass our rigorous testing, then it is remade and processes reviewed.
